introducing myself

Post  kaiafuss on Fri Mar 19, 2010 3:22 pm

Hi, I am an italian amateur singer and Voicelive 2 user (since last spring).
My name is Diego and I'm still rather inexperienced in the use of this voice processing unit.
However, I obtained good results with VL2, both in reharsals and in one single gig.
I'm still adapting to my equipment changes, having used a Digitech VX400 for a few years.
My music style is rock, from progressive to hard, and musical.
I'm actually performing in three cover bands with my own equipment and effects(Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project), and in various musicals using the theatre house equipment.
My vocal microphone, I believe a good mate for VL2 (never had any feedback or unwanted sound harmonizing), is the Audix OM7.
I am very interested in discussing our processor, and open to exchanging presets and technical advice.
Greetings

kaiafuss

i created this forum as a result of a few peoples suggestions and ideas on the voicecouncil forum

so i thought well we should have a forum just for the voicelive2 right???

well im glad we have a few people joining,
but we still need a lot more people in order for this to work,

its a voicelive2 collective,

so invite all of your friends who have the voicelive2 on here...

thanks again,

MMM... Audix VX10, sounds interesting, I'm going to check the specification and features...
But, I was asking myself: being a condenser, can it withstand a loud rock band with traditional monitor wedges all around and handle VL2 voices well?
Thanks for your advice.

Agree, a condenser is not the best choice for live vocal in a "noisy" band.
I would rather use a Dynamic.
